Happy Mother’s Day to all mother’s! For this lesson the Kindergarten teachers and I collaborated to create a mother’s day spring art and science project.
In art class the Kindergarteners discussed Spring and what happens during this season. Then they made spring flowers on 9″ X 3″ paper by tracing a flower stencil and coloring with oil pastels. In their science class the Kindergarteners are learning about plants and they recycled their milk cartons to plant the plants inside. Lastly the teacher’s covered the milk carton with their spring flower paper. This project was given to their mother’s as mother day gifts.
The student’s did a good job working and coloring nicely because they knew it was going to be for their mother.
