My all time favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid. Younger when I would tell people my name they would sometimes mistakenly call me Ariel, my name is pronounced “Aire”, so my love for the movie grew even more due to this childhood memory. Here is my take on my favorite childhood movie. I also entered my nails into the Disney contest here.
To create the first fish scales look:
1. Paint with Essie Mint Candy Apple and let dry. 2. With a Nail Dotting Tool add three dots. 3. Connect the dots to make a curve line. 4. On the side make a curve line. 5 On the other side make a curve line. 6. Repeat from the middle. 7. The finished fish scales. 8. With the nail dotting tool add colors in side and create a pattern. 8. Seal with a sparkly nail polish to give extra shine.
The second type of fish scales: Using a nail dotting tool and nail polish colors and remind me of the sea. Start at the tip and continue to the end. Seal with a sparkly nail polish.
Detail view of Ariel:
I first painted my nails with LA Colors White, and let completely dry. Next I used a gel writing pen and drew Ariel’s profile. Used a Nail Dotting Tool to fill in the skin and hair.Went over the detail lines with LA Art Deco in Black. With a nail paint brush painted the Eyes, Nose, Lips and added highlights.
Another Pixar Disney movie that I love is Finding Nemo. I made some changes to my nails for this nail design:
