Today I experimented with Kool Aid to color my hair to create an Ombre hair color. Ombre is when a color gradates from a dark to light shade. I wanted to try something not permanent and not damaging. I used my DIY Hair Extension Clip On to create this look, but you could use your own natural hair, here is a tutorial on how to bleach to get a more blonder hair color. Check out my other tutorial on Kool Aid Yarn Braid.
To create this look you will need: Unsweeten Kool Aid, I used colors Ice Blue Raspberry Lemonade and Strawberry. Be sure not to add sugar or it will make your hair sticky. 1/2 cup of water in a pot and add the Kool Aid. When the water comes to a boil take it off the heat and dip the tip of your hair. Depending on the darkness of your hair, for the blonde hair extension I left it in for about 10 minutes. Then put the hair on a paper towel to blot the excess water off. Let dry and brush. Do not wash your hair the first day. This is not a permanent hair color so it will eventually fade.
Hmm. How did you think of this! Looks.ok.
Varonica Lol! I was looking for a way to color my hair for the summer that wouldn't damage it and wasn't permanent. But I wasn't brave enough to try it on my own hair because I had presentation to attend.
